This initiative forms part of an ongoing effort to celebrate sporting legends whose achievements have inspired generations and shaped the history of Moroccan football.<\/p>\n

Among the most prominent honorees was Ahmed Najah, former international player and ex-star of Raja de B\u00e9ni Mellal, widely regarded as one of the pioneers of Moroccan professional footballers in the Gulf region. His outstanding journey, particularly with Al Ain Club in the United Arab Emirates, opened doors for many Moroccan talents abroad and remains a source of pride in the nation\u2019s football heritage.<\/p>\n

The ceremony also paid tribute to Ahmed Fonaka, former goalkeeper and current coach at the federal center, whose career spanned several respected Moroccan clubs, including Kawkab Marrakech, Mouloudia Marrakech, COD Meknes, and the Police Sports Union.<\/p>\n

Hosted in a modern sports complex equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, regulation-standard pitches, fully equipped training areas, a specialized medical unit, and professional technical staff, the event offered a fitting and dignified setting for this celebration of football excellence.<\/p>\n

The occasion was further elevated by the attendance of former internationals and renowned national football personalities who joined the solidarity caravan, giving the event deep symbolic value. Notable guests included Abdelmajid Lamriss, former AS FAR player and member of Morocco\u2019s historic 1986 World Cup squad in Mexico; Mohamed Folouh of FAR; and Mustapha Kidi, former Kawkab Marrakech and Moroccan national team player.<\/p>\n

Also present was veteran goalkeeper Abdellatif Mansouri, who proudly represented several clubs during the 1970s, including Kawkab Marrakech, Mouloudia Marrakech, and Raja de B\u00e9ni Mellal.<\/p>\n

Former members of Raja de B\u00e9ni Mellal also participated in the tribute, notably Alabou and Bouhaj, key figures in the club\u2019s historic 1974 Moroccan Championship triumph, achieved under the leadership of the late coach Abdelkader El Khmiri.<\/p>\n
